Founding Engineer

Augment is an anonymous deal engine that allows shareholders, investors, and brokers to seamlessly connect and manage private market trades.


About you

As the first engineering hire, work directly with the founders and own all engineering infrastructure. Huge opportunity for growth: engineering design, leadership, and all things startup. We are a close-knit group who work together on everything. Looking for an absolute killer with no-BS attitude & get-it-done mentally.

- Is an expert working with backend technologies
- Has written tens of thousands of lines of code in a modern language (Go, React.js, Python)
- Has experience in architectural design and public cloud infra (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Expert-level knowledge of relational databases
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environments!

- Knowledge of serverless technologies (AWS Lambda)
- Team lead or management experience
- Experience building a product from scratch or ownership end-to-end
- Knowledge of API design

- Own all engineering infra
- Develop APIs and backend on AWS (Go & MySQL)
- Integrate with third party services like Twilio, SendGrid, and many others
- Optionally, write front-end code in React
- Implement processes for deployment, security, and test infra
- Work with design and product team to build features end to end
